Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive attitude that resulted in displeasure, especially for people who face bullying. This study aims to describe aspects related to bullying such as causal factors, types, impacts, strategies to prevent and resolve; The percentage of victims and perpetrators based on gender, age, and education level. Researchers utilized mixed method sequential exploratory to collect and analysis data. The participant of this research is 53 informants and 393 samples. The researcher used Milles and Huberman’s approaches and multiple regression to analyze the data. The results indicated that internal factors of bullying are psychological, physiological, intelligence and skills, identity, lifestyle, and religion. While external factors are families, school and social environment, peers, legal base, media and technology, social and economic class, lifestyle, lack of communication, clothing, race, and experiences of victims. The verbal bullying is highest (48.78%). Female become mostly victims (65.23%) and perpetrators (55.68%). Based on age, the majority 14 years old become victims (19.53%) and perpetrators (22.16%). The senior high school become victims (60.16%) and perpetrators (54.55%). The external factors are more caused (56.35%). Furthermore, bullying affects student achievement both for victim and perpetrator.
