Analiza Dezenvolvimentu Jeneru no Pratika Kultura hodi Kria Partisipasaun Feto iha Vida Ekonomia

The research pretends to describe on “Gender Development Analysis and Cultural Practices in creating women Participation at the economic life.” The research was effectuated at two municipalities: Manatuto and Lospalos which marked with their familiar linage characteristics that is to be the differences between them. Manatuto opted for Matrilineal Linage and Lospalos is the patrilineal. The objective of the research is aiming to know on the women empowerment and cultural practices in contributing for women economic at home and community. It utilizes the “Descriptive-Qualitative methodology. On the Data Collection Techniques, it has the approach as applying: documental, observing and “in-depth interview". The key respondents at the interviews are: women group‟s beneficiaries, civil societies and the government. Result of the research revealing that women empowerment at both municipalities to be continuing in facing the obstacles or challenges at the marketing and business activities; they have had support funds from the Government for their business, various training relevant to business; however, there are a lot of beneficiaries groups which are not assured with their sustainability. On other hand the patriarchal culture still to be dominant in Lautem Society; in Manatuto even opting for matrilineal, but, several types of domestic violence are increasing and the tax of unsuccessful of the business higher comparing to Lautem.
